**Job Title: General Laborer** **Job Description** Candidates will be working in either the shop or the field performing general labor, construction, and installation duties of metal parts. Candidates must be willing to work in the shop some days and go to the field on other days. The role involves building and assembling metal and steel panels for various types of customers. **Responsibilities** + Assist in building and assembling metal and steel panels. + Travel to job sites using personal vehicles. + Work both indoors and outdoors as required. + Use power tools, hand tools, and basic machinery. + Engage in architectural, ornamental, and decorative metalwork. + Lift 50+ pounds in a hot environment. + Read and interpret blueprints. + Use saws and other cutting tools to cut wood and other raw materials. + Operate band saws and table saws. + Engage in grinding, polishing, and sanding. + General clean-up of the facility. + Crate parts, potentially making crates out of wood. + Properly load and unload trucks. + Train on and get certified for forklift operations. + Pallet wrapping and shrink wrapping. + Sand and prep metal surfaces. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in reading a tape measure. + Ability to use power tools and hand tools. + Experience with grinding, polishing, and sanding. + Capability to lift 50+ pounds. + Blueprint reading skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Use of saws and other cutting tools. + Experience with band saws and table saws. + Forklift training and certification. + Experience with pallet wrapping and shrink wrapping. **Why Work Here?** Opportunity to cross-train into other roles such as welding and glazing. Working hours are from 5 AM to 3 PM, with the possibility of 10-hour shifts due to overtime availability. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
