Our Accounting team is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial results of HopSkipDrive. Accounting also manages Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables, and takes pride in partnering with internal teams to move our business forward. You will be the driving force behind building processes and laying the foundation for the scalability of the business.
You will have increasing ownership of the various processes and deliverables within the Accounting function. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to hit often-overlapping deadlines to help grow the enterprise side of our business. Your primary responsibility is to partner and collaborate with team members and consultants across the organization, and to understand their strategic drivers, key objectives, business needs and priorities. You will have the necessary communication skills and strategic thinking to help us build a high performing Accounting function focused on operational excellence, robust controls, and accountability. This position will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting.
With the following skills, you’ll make a tangible and immediate impact:
Handle general accounting functions including accruals, prepaid and amortization, recording of journal entries, account reconciliations. Ensure the timely close of the company’s financial records on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Apply accounting policy consistent with US GAAP to prepare, analyze, maintain and deliver complete and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and file various state and local tax forms and other regulatory filing requirements. Ongoing support of internal customer needs, specifically Operations, Sales, FP&A, and Legal teams. Participate in developing/refining day-to-day operating practices and a focus on continued process improvement. 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required. Have aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills Are highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and proactively take charge of accomplishing goals as well as ability to continually prioritize workload as needed Strong experience in Microsoft Excel Experience with NetSuite and Airbase A great communicator with proactive communication skills Team player who wants to grow within a companyOur Investment In You

HopSkipDrive is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Los Angeles, CA is $65,000.00 - $78,000.00. This position is hybrid / remote based in LA. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
