Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) to join our finance team in Frankfurt, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial dataPerform month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparationAnalyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholdersAssist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and proceduresCollaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processesEnsure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and German accounting standardsParticipate in audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiriesIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting

Qualifications

Education & Qualifications                    

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required

Required Experience

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in similar role, preferably in a multinational environmentExcellent written and spoken English and Germany is essentialExcellent Microsoft Office Excel SkillsAbility to work to tight deadlines in an accurate mannerExcellent numeracy skillsAbility to work as part of a wider team and with remote teamsExcellent analytical organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Experience

Experience with Oracle is preferredPractical experience of US group audit or a US reporting environment
