Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) to join our finance team in Frankfurt, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial dataPerform month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparationAnalyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholdersAssist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and proceduresCollaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processesEnsure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and German accounting standardsParticipate in audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiriesIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar roleProficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skillsStrong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and German accounting standards and regulationsExperience with month-end and year-end close processesExcellent financial reporting and analysis skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skillsFluency in German and English, both written and spokenProfessional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
