**Job Description** BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team of engineers, technologists, and military veterans. The position is located at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. The SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of the NASA s Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future. The selected candidate will be responsible for: + Preparing a lab environment to support various combat systems + Installing military standard equipment or commercial equivalent server equipment and hardware + Running cables and supporting the engineering department with configurations of equipment through documented drawings and facility modifications This position is controlled by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Standards Act (FLSA). **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** High School diploma or GED equivalent Security clearance requirement: This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance. The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
