The Role
As a General Maintenance Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll work in a small team maintaining the site and facilities of rural site.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll work in a leading defence technology company delivering a wide range of design, manufacturing and operational support projects to defence customers from our Skelton Offices based near Penrith, Cumbria.

 

The cleaning of domestic and technical installations, equipment and site vehicles. Maintenance of domestic water and drainage systems.    Ordering materials to maintain cost effective stock levels. General labouring and porterage including receipt, packing and dispatch of goods. Maintaining technical and administration records and provide information as required.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Skelton Penrith

 

Essential Experience of the General Maintenance Assistant

A comprehensive knowledge of current safe working practices and safety procedures. Significant years of experience of general building maintenance and cleaning techniques. Basic Computer skills including email, Word and spreadsheets.


Qualifications for the General Maintenance Assistant 

Minimum GSCE Grade C in Maths and English or NVQ level2.

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
