PURPOSE: Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, alteration, and repair of buildings and related facilities and equipment. 

·       Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday (dayshift)

·       Work Indicator: Onsite

·       Union: Teamsters Local 439

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1.        Two to four years of trade school, apprenticeship, or military service.

2.        At least two to five years of experience in the electrical field.

3.        Must have experience in more than one trade.

4.       Must have own tools.   

5.        Must be familiar with and comply with local codes.

6.        Must be able to work flexible hours.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Two years of previous hands-on experience maintaining, inspecting, and repairing industrial/commercial building construction. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (to include but not limited to):

1.        Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment to include inspection, cleaning, landscaping, lubrications, adjustments, repairs, etc.

2.        Repair all building equipment to include electrical, plumbing, structures, carpentry, painting, etc.

3.        Perform building modifications to include electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, etc.

4.        Use appropriate power and hand tools.

5.        Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance and all other work performed.

6.        Perform other tasks as directed by supervision.

7.        Communicate with the supervisor daily about changes of problems with building equipment.

8.        Clean the work area/warehouse and equipment.

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
