Overview The general purpose of the Engineering Supervisor is to support the operation of the Facility Services Department. This includes all related activities such as participation in preventative/corrective maintenance programs for all equipment, systems, guestrooms, and public areas/ general maintenance. The Engineer Supervisor shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Hill Country Resort Culture as well as promoting La Cantera Hill Country Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for training the department. Provide efficient use of manpower to maintain workload. Assign and verify completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure of resort, all mechanical systems and any other systems which affect the operation of the facility. Visually inspect quality of work and direct staff and outside contractors in tasks according to performance and productivity standards. Conducts walk-throughs and visually assesses the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structures of the Resort, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, vehicles, and any other related equipment. Manage adequate inventory of parts, supplies, tools and material for the department Enforce Hotel / Resort and Company policies and procedures. Must be able to effectively problem solve Resort guest/team member challenges. Must be able to respond to emergency situations, such as fire alarms, and other life-safety situations. Maintain the Resort facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain the Hotel / Resort facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Drive the technology upgrades for BAS and IT related Facility Services projects Alignment with Property Mission and Core Values Model the property/company core values and other expected leadership attributes. Always uphold a professional appearance Act as a resource for all departments of the Resort. Qualifications High School Diploma, Technical/Trade School, or equivalent experience preferred. At least 2 years in the hospitality or service industry preferred. Experience of all maintenance trades, including HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing.
