The Role
As a General Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As General Maintenance Supervisor you will have the opportunity to grow and develop within a forward-thinking company in a desirable location.
Day-to-day, you’ll work in a leading defence technology company delivering a wide range of design, manufacturing and operational support projects to defence customers from our St Eval & Penhale Sands Offices in Cornwall. Our client’s diverse project portfolio continues to grow with a strong focus on world class high integrity maritime, weapons, communications and intelligence solutions.
Development of maintenance procedures policies, and schedules for both household and estate maintenance and escalate issues to management and recommend solutions. Supervision and development of Health and Safety Processes on site to maintain site compliance to relevant ISO standards, ensuring the team follows all company procedures and policies, including all Health and Safety requirements. Maintain technical and administration records and provide information as required and liaise with other technical teams to ensure completion of works. Respond to maintenance works required and ensure completion, undertaking both estate and household maintenance including carrying out legionella checks as per laid down process as required, Liaise with Rigging team to coordinate the annual compounds grass cutting program and maintain compound fencing. Fuel Bund Filter Sceptre Changing as per laid down procedure.

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at St Eval, Cornwall.
Essential Experience of the General Maintenance Supervisor
Possession of a current full UK driving licence. Experience of general building maintenance and cleaning techniques. A comprehensive knowledge of current safe working practices and safety procedures.
Qualifications for the General Maintenance Supervisor
CSE or GSCE grade D – E, or NVQ Level 2.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. However, the successful candidate will be eligible to start on Standard (BPSS) security clearance but will then need to achieve Security Check (SC) security clearance.
You will not be able to access site until you have submitted and obtained Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
