Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mysuru, India. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our building's physical structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.

Perform routine inspections of premises and equipmentConduct preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbingTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issuesRespond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situationsMaintain and repair furniture, fixtures, and other physical structuresCollaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruptionsImplement and follow safety procedures and regulationsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventoryAssist in the coordination of external contractors when necessaryParticipate in ongoing training and skill development programsContribute to the improvement of maintenance processes and efficiency
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentTrade certificate or minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in general maintenanceKnowledge of various building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)Familiarity with safety regulations and proceduresStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesDetail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying and resolving issuesAbility to work effectively in a team and independentlySelf-motivated and energetic, with a positive attitudeBasic computer skills for using maintenance management systemsPhysical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various positionsFlexibility to work different shifts and respond to emergency callsValid driver's license may be requiredProficiency in English (both verbal and written)
