Duties & responsibilities

Provide general management oversight for PDS activities, ensuring all stated safety, commercial and administrative objectives/standards are met.

Possess a complete understanding of the PDS Strategic priorities and targets.

Be an effective role model for PDS team members, demonstrate all the desired Leadership behaviours/goals, including Operations and Business Development targets

Build, shape and communicate the firm’s values and culture; demonstrate integrity, personal responsibility, initiative and the ability to energise, persuade and influence others; foster creativity, innovation and teamwork

Be effective as an adviser to JLL clients;  the role holder must possess a working knowledge of Professional PM Consultancy practices.

PDS Strategy

Assist the success of outcomes, by honest assessments, which build trust.Provide continuous transparency on essential aspects of the business.Desire to display and create enthusiasm which drives creativity and determination to find a means to deliver.Total focus on PDS business goalsBe accountable for your objectives and your teams’ actions.Develop and implement a country specific plan which aims to improve JLL market share, clarify JLL product offering and improve JLL revenues and margins.Prior to the annual budget cycle, with Sector leaders, qualify and quantify market opportunities within your State for the planning process.Working under direction from Regional Hub and Business Development Directors, ensure all Business Development activities within country, Hub and APAC are strictly coordinated.Maintain excellent working relationships with the wider JLL and PDS organization to ensure all referral business opportunities are captured, evaluated, and acted upon.

BUSINESS OUTCOMES

Promote JLL to new prospects and key landlord clients with expressed purpose of developing new business opportunities.Seeking out and developing new business relationships and generating new revenue from landlordsTarget and generate new investor related revenue in a 12-month period that does not relate to new or existing Global, Regional or National agreementsDevelop and strengthen relationships with, and where possible, introduce opportunities to other JLL business lines.Work with the sector leads ensure client’s expectations have been realistically set and client satisfaction is measured.Develop relationships with new and existing clients to increase the profile and exposure of JLL.Manage and proactively participate in all aspects of business development.Ensure projects are resourced and managed through successful completion.Work with PDS Hub leader and Sector leads to ensure a value adding, commercially sound budget is set for Location.Ensure all project proposals are within JLL/PDS profit and legal compliance guidelines.Oversee financial aspects of all projects including invoicing, variations, and debt collection

LEADERSHIP

Ensure you have effective knowledge of JLL and local HR Policies and PracticesProvide a leadership role in identifying and managing risk in all aspects of the loaction’s operations.Be responsible for ensuring the PDS team complies with PDS governance guidelines.Work with Sector leaders, be responsible for the efficient allocation of PDS team members to existing and future projects.Monitor and manage the Location’s budget, ensuring that appropriate and timely feedback is given on slippage and opportunities across the respective P&L.

Key skills

Possess a high degree of business acumenNegotiate skilfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups.Can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately and can articulate vision of possibilities.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and experienced in managing cost reporting systems.Understand the legal environment for each project in respect of planning, commercial aspects, and delivery constraints.Be able to carry out commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and authorities within established limits of authority.Understand our obligations for complying with ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001 and Environmental Health and Safety legislation generally.Assist in maintaining accreditations where applicable.Possess the maturity and the desire to be an active change leader on operational and people matters. Due to the need to influence remotely and locally having change leader experience is a must.Due to the high-risk nature of the operations and the need to work effectively with strategic business decision makers, the role holder should have extensive working experience, gained within the respective industry sector. This experience should encompass most facets of PM and CM services and examples of achievement.

Employee specification

A degree in a relevant Project or Construction Management related discipline and fifteen (15) years’ experience of Design, Construction, or Project Management.
