Buc-ee's Is Coming to Goodyear, AZ - Opening Summer 2026! We are looking for Retail and Food Service Management Now!

The Store General Manager’s primary duties are to develop a high performance team, manage the product offerings, deliver customer satisfaction, and administer operational goals. General Managers typically work a minimum 48 hour work week consisting primarily of early mornings and afternoons, including most weekends and holidays and must be available 24/7.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

$175,000 / salaryAdminister operational system that promotes ongoing maintenance to the entire store assetFoster a workplace that results in the development of a high performing teamRecruit, develop, and inspire a highly effective team of retail associatesManage product offeringsSupport frontline employees during high traffic on various POS and transaction devicesOnboard and train new employees to prescribed staff levels, up to 250 employeesAdminister employee performance management throughout employee life cycleControl labor and overtimeEnforce Company policies and proceduresImplement inventory controlDeliver clean, friendly, and in-stock to a pronounced levelProvide guidance through observing, mentoring, and coaching staffMust be role model and leader; must solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the workforce and time wisely in order to achieve maximum resultsEnsure that all staff are meeting the execution of daily tasks and operational goalsPerform other duties as required and/or assignedAbility to work in a fast paced, high pressure environmentEmployee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

Bachelor’s degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of relevant and extensive retail management experience preferredProficient skill level with Microsoft Office Software including Word, ExcelKronos and iCIMS knowledge is a plusProlonged walking and/or standing for 8-12 continuous hours. Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing, pulling (e.g. ice cart with 50 or more 20 lb. bags of ice, and lifting product or material weighing 40 lbs. or more)Must have extensive management experience and possess excellent organization, administration and communication skills in order to be considered for this role
