Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations of the ship agency, including vessel handling, port operations, and logistics coordination. Develop and implement business strategies to increase market share and profitability. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, port authorities, and other stakeholders in the maritime industry. Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations and standards. Monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, and cost controls. Lead, mentor, and manage a team, ensuring high performance and development of staff. Identify new business opportunities and areas for service improvement. Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Represent the company in industry events and forums. Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance and business development efforts. Requirements:
Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in a ship agency or maritime services company. Strong understanding of the maritime industry, including port operations, shipping regulations, and logistics. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field is preferred. Availability to travel as required.
