Here at GXO, we’re currently looking for a General Manager to lead our M&S ambient food warehouse operation in Milton Keynes. You’ll lead a strong, growing team and be responsible for ultimately ensuring the operational and commercial success of a complex operation.

 

This is a full time, permanent role. Even though you'll be contracted to Monday - Friday, this is a 24/7 operation, therefore you’ll need to offer a level of flexibility in terms of working hours – no two weeks are the same, this is logistics after all!

You’ll be paid a salary of £80,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending upon experience. You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

Be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the operation, leading from the front and getting under the skin of what keeps the site moving on a day-to-day basis Play a key part in driving communication and engagement with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, both onsite and throughout the wider GXO network Demonstrate the ability to identify and drive opportunities for operational excellence and continuous improvement Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring the long-term success of the contract
