Aplin has partnered with an Edmonton-based company to hire a full-time permanent General Manager of Service Delivery responsible to ensure my client's teams provide exceptional service to new and existing customer. With a focus on safety, GMs are responsible for establishing operational plans, leading teams, monitoring safety programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Customer Service & Leadership
Build, develop, mentor, manage, retain and lead a high-performance team that promotes our culture and values of safety, growth, innovation, people, and profitability Align managers and their teams to focus on delivering at a high level of safety awareness and customer satisfactionDevelop and maintain strong relationships with customers and key industry partners to ensure company services are well positioned to capitalize on current and future opportunities with the customersLead new initiatives with customers including establishing goals, securing equipment, developing standard operating procedures, and setting project schedulesMonitor customer satisfaction while identifying service needs and efficiencies that would benefit enhance the customer's operationsFocus on developing avenues to grow the existing business with the customerContribute to developing strategy and plans for growing company services in all areas with a focus on the Energy and Chemicals sectorOperational ManagementImplement and maintain effective safety systems and programs and maintain regulatory complianceConduct periodic reviews and/or audits ensuring safety and operational protocols are be adhered to and delivery quality service deliveryWork with customer to identify and implement site focused operational solutions based on customer needsParticipate in the development of a sound strategy for operational excellence including asset utilization, people management, safety and regulatory complianceManager capital and operating budgets identifying future personal needs, equipment issues, and maintenance requirementsManage contract renewals that foster long-term partnerships with our customersEstablish annual budgets ensuring sustainable people and process managementKeep current on industry news, trends and any issues that may have an impact on the company's servicesQualificationsMinimum ten (10) years progressive business experience in a management position with full responsibilities for multiple site/service offeringsBachelor’s degree in finance/commerce/business or related discipline is an assetExperience in building safety culture, service culture, and strong teams with an understanding of Safety Management SystemsExperience in railway/industrial railway management or Construction/Manufacturing/Equipment Supplier services is an assetProven track record of entrepreneurial leadership
