Job Summary
\nThe General Manager (GM) is responsible for providing the overall supervision of a community association. The GM interacts with the internal and external clients including homeowners, vendors, board members and committee members as well as onsite staff, staff at the branch office and the Associa Client Shared Service Center (CSSC).

\n RequirementsJob Duties and Responsibilities
\nDuties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
\n\nSupervise the operation and administration of the Association in accordance with the management agreement and the Association Policies and Procedures.\nActs as the primary liaison with the Association Board of Directors, and homeowners as needed. \nPerform/Direct administrative and management duties as requested by the Board of Directors and in accordance with the management agreement.\nReview monthly financials and submit summary report to the Board of Directors.\nProvide and/or oversee recommendation to the Association Board of Directors and Committees regarding major capital expenditures as required to maintain the desired community appearance and operation.\nMonitor delinquency and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors as needed.\nAttend Board meetings per the management agreement\nPrepare Board packages for meetings according to established time frames.\nEnsure the Board of Directors is aware of legal actions involving the Association.\nMaintain unit and contract files relating to the operations of the Association\nAssist the Board of Directors with Architectural Review Process\nCoordinate and/or oversee inspection of building facilities and/or common areas and arrange appropriate follow up actions as required.\nOversee the Accounts Payable process in accordance with the Associa processes and procedures.\nOversee the Resale process in accordance with the Associa processes and procedures\nResponsible for vendor management including procurement as well as performance evaluation as contracted.\nResponsible for oversight of maintenance of C3 data base, including updating resident information.\nAssist with implementation of Board policy and directives with the scope of the management agreement. Works with the Board on strategic initiatives, policy governance and association projects.\nResponsible for hiring, training, supervising, performance management and termination of all onsite employees in accordance with company policies.\nAssist the Board with preparation of the annual budget.\nMonitor and manage operational costs.\nMonitor vendors to ensure contractual obligations are provide to the Association.\nAnalyzes advantages and disadvantages of alternative solutions to problems and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.\nManage the day to day business affairs of the Association at the direction of the Board.\nAssist the administration of various functions of the community with the projects and approved operating budget.\nThe preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
