General Manager—Innovations Medical Technology Marketing & Business Development

The General Manager for Medical Technology Marketing & Business Development will help identify partners and market early-stage medical technologies (new therapeutics, diagnostics, device, health IT, or care delivery solutions) for Cleveland Clinic Innovations.
A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am—4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Market Cleveland Clinic medical technologies to outside organization for licensing opportunities.
Attend medical and venture capital conferences to identify suitable partners for collaboration and commercialization.
Build relationships with corporate partners, identify areas of mutual strategic interest, obtain access to their R&D dashboards and strategic agendas, and create collaborations to develop modern technologies.
Obtain and share healthcare market knowledge.
Engage local partners (Cleveland Innovation District) to market Cleveland Clinic technologies and generate resources to support development efforts.
Support marketing and outreach efforts.
Special projects and evaluation of external (non-Cleveland Clinic) technologies and generate resources to support development efforts.
Track and report on commercial partnerships, related revenue, and brand growth.
Integrate with and support all teams.
Develop and implement operational plans that work toward the organization's strategic priorities. Assist with the development and responsible for meeting operational metrics.
Uphold compliance with regulatory requirements in all areas of operations.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s degree in life or physical sciences, biomedical engineering, finance, or business or another relevant field.
Seven years of relevant industry experience (out-licensing and/or in-licensing medical devices, therapeutics, diagnostics, and/or HIT).
Seven years of demonstrated success leading teams and other.
Demonstrated business development skills and deep network and knowledge of the medical technology industry.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
An advanced degree in business administration and/or legal (JD, MBA, or JD, MBA) is preferred.
This may be offset by significant experience working for a large academic medical institution.

Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with academic and corporate sectors and comprehend details of new and diverse technologies.
Must be a self-starter with strong work ethics and excellent marketing and negotiation skills.
Must have demonstrated comfort with multi-tasking and the ability to meet deadlines.
