We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and results driven operations leader to serve as General Manager, Merchandise. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of Merchandise and daily operations including the delivery of Merchandise financial goals, managing large labor and expense budgets, and leading and developing successful and inclusive leaders and Cast Members. The candidate will also serve as a change agent, taking calculated risks to integrate processes, remove barriers and align performance goals.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach and motivate a team of salaried leaders and hourly cast members to meet and exceed revenue, guest and cast satisfaction goalsInspire team through a strong service orientation and a disciplined work ethic to exceed Guest expectations every day in high volume retail locationsOversee and manage all financial aspects of the business including revenue generation, cost containment and resource optimizationDrive incremental operating income. Manage costs effectively with an eye for continuous improvementLeverage metrics and operational indicators to measure, motivate and enhance performanceCollaborate with peers and key partners to create a seamless guest experienceAttract and retain top talent; develop high performing teams and provide transparent and direct feedbackRequired Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years progressive hands-on operations leadership experience Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to define a clear vision and motivate others to achieve goalsDemonstrated ability to manage and integrate Guest, Cast and business goals to produce great resultsProven record of savvy business judgment along with the mental agility and flexibility required in a dynamic companyDemonstrated exceptional strategic thinking and financial skillsDemonstrated work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to build and implement a project plan to active ideasDemonstrated ability to build and foster relationships with cross functional partners and operate successfully in a matrix environmentDemonstrated ability to lead in a collaborative style as well as communicate in an engaging and impactful mannerDemonstrated ability to inspire and drive enthusiasm and teamwork with a commitment to excellenceDemonstrated strong negotiating, mentoring, influencing, organizational planning and partnership skillsDemonstrated passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion including inviting diverse perspectives, fostering an inclusive environment and supporting workforce diversityPossess unquestioned ethics and integrityPreferred Qualifications
