Honeywell Korea is operating its business since 1984. Currently, we\nhave five Strategic Business Group with nearly 600 full time employees and its\nrevenue of USD 550M USD. Industrial Automation (IA) is roughly 175M of revenue\nwith an aggressive growth target over the 3 year horizon.
We are looking to hire the IA Leader for Honeywell Korea, this\nposition will be based in Seoul and will report to GM Asia Pacific for IA.
This is a senior leadership appointment and will take\nresponsibility for the development and growth of Honeywell IA businesses in\ncountry, spanning diversified lines of business including:
-Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS)
-Honeywell Sensing Solutions (HSS)
-Process Measurement & Control (PMC)
-Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions (SETS)
-Productivity Solutions & Services (PSS)
-Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Drive orders and revenue for IA Korea by closely engaging with IA team and customers in Korea
-Analyze long-term market trends, customer needs, and evaluate competitive landscape in order to develop a 3 Year Strategic Plan and Execute it
-Build and maintain key customer relationships and be the face of IA in the Country
-Drive partnerships and framework agreements with target customers ( End Users and EPCs) , OEMs to help drive growth
-Continue to evolve Channel landscape to have best in class partners
-Local leadership to the IA Korea team and help them advance professional and personal growth
-Create a synergistic and cost-effective group platform to support the growth and development of the operating business groups. -This will include developing plans to allocate resources within the country to drive growth
-Hold geographic orders and revenue responsibility for activities in the country and be accountable for employee performance.
-Formulate, together with GBE leaders, the strategic plan for IA business growth and define strategic synergies in country.
-Organize and coordinate all business activities in country and leverage the breadth and depth of the company’s product and solutions portfolio to create a total value proposition to customers and employees in the country
-Develop, protect, and nurture customer relationships, and have detailed knowledge of key pursuit status, including assistance in developing tactical and strategic plans to grow faster than market indices and the competition in the country.
-Provide firm overall stewardship of IA Business activities in the country, interacting closely with the functional leaders and the senior management team in Asia Pacific and Global.
-Identify and coordinate resources within and outside IA Business needed to support strategic commercial developments. The successful candidate is expected to provide coordination and alignment of cross-business resources to support cross-business growth initiatives.
-As a senior leader will drive teamwork/engagement initiatives and “best practice” values and vision throughout the organization. -He/she must be a strong team builder and leader who is capable of attracting, recruiting and developing local talent and drive diversity & inclusion.
FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE
-Strategic: The successful candidate needs to have a\nclear insight into market opportunities and be able to prioritize business\ninvestment and commercial development. He / she needs to understand the long\nterm competitive environment and define where and how Honeywell will play. Must\nhave in depth experience with the country market/culture, but also competent in\nnavigating with an international business perspective with proven\nexperience/exposure. Minimum of 15-20 years of relevant working experience is\nideal for this strategic position.
-Operational: Needs to create a strong platform which\nfacilitates growth covering organic growth, M&A, customer relationships and\ncommercialization strategies (e.g. new customers, product development, pricing,\netc). Strong strategy, visionary profile, but equally strong at operational\nlevel – this is not just “ambassadorial” role, it is involved in the execution\nof the strategy and roll-out of strategic corporate initiatives (growth or\noperational excellence initiatives). Need to be able to roll up their sleeves,\nconduct regular reviews and direct engagement with the team, partners and\ncustomers to ensure growth targets are achieved.
-Organizational: Build a strong and cohesive\nleadership team and maintain a high caliber ‘united’ leadership group and\nHoneywell culture. Strong talent development focus - ability to identify and\ndevelop talent, ability to build strong and independent teams, ability to\ncreate a collaborative culture where individuals complement each other to make\na highly effective team. Strong focus on succession for key leadership roles in\nIA Korea to fulfil long term strategic objectives. The candidate will be\nresponsible for hiring and development of future and existing key roles for IA\nand Honeywell businesses in country. Will be the accountable leader to drive a\nconsistent atmosphere of integrity and compliance in all things, at all times.
Establish the appropriate organization structure and\nprocesses which anticipates and analyzes market dynamics to align with customer\nneeds. Mature, sharp and confident leader, must be able to build effective\nrelationships and partner with / influence senior internal leaders (Honeywell leaderships,\nregional Business and Functional leaders, etc) as well as possess a proven\ntrack record of relationships and examples of utilizing his/her network for\nsuccessful business outcomes with external (c-level clients, government and\nlocal officials) stake holders.

-15+ years experience in a team leadership role including experience of managing a high performing team with proven track record of growth and profit/margin expansion
-Needs to be comfortable communicating in English
-Graduate/ undergraduate engineering degree with an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
-Proven experience in working closely with a peer group comprising of cross function leaders in Customer Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Technical Service, Supply chain and logistics experience; with ability to cohesively work together with an integrative approach to meet goals.
-Should have ability to understand financial data and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved.
-Demonstrated ability to develop a long term Strategic business plan; demonstrated capability to execute in line with plan, influence or directly manage resources and investment across multiple functions.
