Your role and responsibilities

We are hiring the General Manager - Residential Breakers to lead the Business Line for the Smart Buildings NEMA organization within ABB. Leading a 200M P&L, we are looking for a passionate, inspiring, innovative, and visionary leader. You will drive the growth and secure market leadership of the Energy Distribution NEMA Breakers business in the journey towards a safer, smarter and sustainable world, with leading technologies and customer intimacy. You will be globally accountable for the business Profit & Loss, portfolio, operations and the go-to-market. Candidates working remotely in the US are also accepted.You will be mainly accountable for:- Ensuring profitable business growth by implementing the operating unit’s business strategy, with full responsibility for Profit and Loss, performance targets and improvement actions- Overseeing production facilities within the operating unit to ensure targets are achieved and high-quality products, services, and processes are delivered.- Improving manufacturing technology and competence in line with strategy.- Driving marketing and sales, through the implementation of new functional processes and tools, to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.- Driving the NEMA Breakers business growth in line with Division and Business Line strategy establishing simplicity, speed and accountability.Our team dynamics:You will lead a team comprised of Sr Managers / Directors, and are expected to bring in a global mindset with multi-cultural inclusive leadership skills.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience in an industrial organization (Electrical preferred).Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing managers.Global leader with multi-cultural inclusive leadership.Proven experience in leading complex multinational organizations.Ability to create and communicate strategic operational plans and value propositions to key stakeholders.Experience in leading team towards a “performance based” behavior.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.Travel required up to 30% of role.
