Responsibilities + Develops and executes the strategic vision for pharmacy services in the senior living sector, aligning with organizational goals and market needs + Identifies growth opportunities, including partnerships, service expansions, and geographic market penetration + Monitors industry trends and adapt strategies to maintain competitive positioning + Oversees the delivery of pharmacy services to senior living communities, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency + Implements processes to optimize medication safety, adherence, and delivery systems tailored to senior living residents + Leverages technology and innovation to improve service quality and reduce operational costs + Builds and leads a high-performing team of pharmacy professionals, regional managers, and support staff + Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement + Mentors and develop sleadership talent within the organization to support succession planning and professional growth + Develops and manages budgets to achieve revenue and profitability targets + Analyzes financial performance metrics and implement strategies to improve cost-effectiveness and operational margins + Leads efforts to negotiate and manage contracts with senior living communities and key stakeholders + Establishes and maintain strong relationships with senior living providers, residents, and families + Acts as the primary liaison between the pharmacy services team and senior living communities to address concerns and improve service delivery + Promotes a customer-focused approach to enhance satisfaction and loyalty + Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy operations + Conducts regular audits and implement risk mitigation strategies to uphold the highest standards of safety and ethical practices + Maintains accurate documentation and reporting to meet regulatory and contractual requirements + Designs and implement specialized programs tailored to the unique needs of senior living residents, such as medication therapy management and chronic disease support + Collaborates with clinical teams to integrate pharmacy services into broader care delivery models + Explores and implements technology solutions, such as automated dispensing to improve efficiency and access Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (PharmD or MBA preferred) required + MBA, Doctorate in Pharmacy desired + 5-7 years management experience with significant P&L responsibility required + 10+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role desired + Licensed Pharmacist desired + Proven expertise in pharmacy services for senior living, long-term care, or similar healthcare sectors + Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, senior living industry dynamics, and healthcare policies + Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills + Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and profit-and-loss management + Strategic vision and execution + Leadership and organizational development + Innovation and process improvement + Relationship management and client focus + Decision-making and problem-solving under complex scenarios + This position operates within a corporate office setting, with regular travel to senior living communities and pharmacy locations as needed About our Line of Business PharMerica is a full-service pharmacy solution providing value beyond medication.
