Position:
SAS has an opening for an EHS Representative – Environmental/Occupational Safety.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist leadership in establishing, promoting and maintaining a workplace safety culture in alignment with company values.Execute specific awareness campaigns, as directed by leadership, to further promote safe behavior.Assist in the development and maintenance of EHS policies and procedures.Assist in identifying, developing and implementing effective and feasible risk control.Conduct safety and environmental inspections and audits to verify compliance with applicable regulations and identify unsafe condition/behaviors.Organize and archive both safety and environmental documentation required by either company policy or regulation.Interact with OSHA and other safety and environmental agencies.Conduct research projects to identify and monitor the operation’s current environmental performance and comparing data to established performance standards.Conduct environmental and industrial hygiene sampling and testing as directed.Maintain a current “Authorized Driver List” for the facility of assignment and identify and correct gaps with applicable company policy.Facilitate classroom occupational safety and environmental compliance training.Job Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
Physical labor is necessary for 8 hours or more per day with breaks approximately every two hours including: sitting, standing, walking (inclines & uneven terrain), climbing stairs, stooping and kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, talking, hearing, seeing and engaging in repetitive motions.Work will be conducted in a climate controlled office environment.Lifting and/or move up to 25 lbs.Education & Experience Requirements:
Occupational Safety/Environmental Training (Certification optional)Computer literate in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and OutlookHigh School or equivalent preferredPreferred:
