JOB PURPOSE:

 

This Job Description is intended as a guide to the type of role the Job Holder is expected to perform. As the nature of our business can vary with changes in customer requirements and operating procedures the following tasks are the key duties of the role, but it is understood that the Job holder will undertake any function in which he/she is adequately trained or competent. If in time significant changes to the role are experienced a new Job Description will be issued.

The job holder will fold/stitch and pack pharmaceutical leaflets/booklets meeting the planned output for quality, volume and yield to Customer requirements, working in compliance with ISO and PS9000 Quality standards and the OHSAS18001 H&S standard

set up and maintenance of machines as directed.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Health and safety

To work in a safe manner adhering to laid down health and safety procedures. To report all accidents and dangerous occurrences or near misses to management

 

Maintenance

To maintain all machinery and equipment in line with established planned maintenance programmes and to advise the Supervisor of any preventative or additional maintenance required.To keep work area clean tidy ensuring that the highest standards of housekeeping are always maintained.

 

Quality/Production

To comply with current systems of working including established shift patterns. To understand and correctly interpret work instructions on VWT.To set up, run and maintain machines to meet the quality standards outlined in the established quality systems complying with ISO9001 and PS9000 quality standards whilst achieving planned volume to optimum output, using minimum waste.Accurate reporting of all production figures (SFDC, VWT,etc) as required.Achieve daily/weekly production targetsMaximise machine efficiency.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in production. Undertake all duties in accordance with current operating procedures and quality policies.   The job holder should ensure that they are aware and understand all such policies and procedures.

Educational and professional:

Leaving Certificate  Mechanical Qualification a desirable

Previous manufacturing/production experience Ideally, experience of working to ISO 9001.Flexible to work shiftsAbility to examine leaflets/booklets to a high-quality standard is essential.Mechanical experience an advantage
