Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our General Production team. This role involves working in the disassembly department where you will be sandblasting, grinding, and finishing various parts. This position requires physical labor and involves refurbishing pumps. You will also operate a water bath to clean bolts and nuts, prepare them for assembly, and use various hand and air tools. The job includes diagnosing and repairing different types of pumps, developing repair estimates, and writing technical reports. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and looking to grow within the company.
ResponsibilitiesWork in the disassembly department, sandblasting, grinding, and finishing various partsOperate a water bath to clean bolts and nutsUse hand and air toolsFollow work orders for refurbishing parts for industrial vacuums and air compressorsOperate overhead craneDisassemble units to be repairedClean and inspect all parts from disassembled pumpsEvaluate the condition of original parts and refurbish those to be reusedDevelop repair estimatesWrite technical reports describing the nature of malfunctions and measures taken to repair the equipmentDiagnose and repair vane pumps, mechanical pumps, blowers, TMPs, and dry pumpsRebuild units according to engineering specs, ISAs, and ISO proceduresPerform maintenance on shop equipment (e.g., part washer, bead blaster)Troubleshoot equipment and refurbish partsEssential SkillsMechanical assemblyTroubleshootingExperience with hand tools, air tools, and power toolsAbility to lift 40+ lbsReading and writing skillsBasic computer skillsHigh School diploma or GEDAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with sandblasting, painting, water jet, and disassembly of motors, pumps, compressorsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility has 45 employees and is a 40,000 square foot, temperature-controlled building. Uniforms are provided weekly by Cintas to both full-time and contract employees. The company prides itself on creating a safe and enjoyable work environment with a strong focus on employee well-being.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glennwillow, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
