General Production Worker
**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of General Production Worker. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing environment with a focus on the conversion of micro-prism films. We have entry-level positions available for Conversion Technicians and roles for mechanically inclined Films Technicians. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for the conversion of micro-prism films. + Manage material flow to the machines and load film on and off machines. + Slit material to appropriate widths and lengths as required and set up and perform splices. + Follow all required ISO documentation. + Monitor machines, make adjustments on machines as needed, and conduct quick quality checks to ensure product conformance. + Monitor and record pressure and ranges as required. + Process work orders in ERP systems. + Retrieve chemicals and materials needed for the process. + Enter requests in Computer Maintenance Management System. + Maintain documentation of all required machine reports. + Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates. **Essential Skills** + Ability to show mechanical aptitude in some capacity. + 6 months or more experience in an industrial environment. + Preferably experience in Assembly or Machine Operating. + Open to candidates with trade school experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical processes. + Familiarity with manufacturing processes and inspection protocols. + Proficiency in using tape measures and other measurement tools. **Why Work Here?** We offer a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid basic life & AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance. Additionally, employees have access to an on-site gym. **Work Environment** Our manufacturing floor operates on three shifts and is equipped with high-tech machines in a very clean, well-lit, and spacious environment. The facility includes a gym with locker rooms, and we are expanding with an additional building to nearly double our size. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel or composite toed shoes and safety glasses are required, with hearing protection in the casting area. Training is primarily conducted on the 1st shift, with flexible schedules thereafter. The standard shifts are: 1st shift (M-F 6:00am-2:00pm), 2nd shift (M-F 2:00pm-10:00pm), and 3rd shift (Sun-Thu 10:00pm-6:00am). Temporary training schedules may vary, and some overtime is available but not mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
