**Job Title: General Production Worker - Starting at $19.75/hr!** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following all food-related GMP and SOP guidelines, ensuring the packing of items for shipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. **Responsibilities** + Follow all food-related GMP and SOP guidelines + Pack items on the lines for shipment (dry powdered contents) + Ensure items are not damaged or broken + Correctly use ingredients for mixing, coulter, APG, etc. + Check weights and accurately record all lot and bag numbers used + Practice sanitation of the equipment due to food packaging + Maintain a clean work area + Consistently lift 50-55 lbs at waist height or shift weight side to side + Work in confined spaces due to the building's age (such as spiral staircases) + Operate in hot non-AC areas + Utilize heights (catwalks above machines) **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift 50-55 lbs consistently + Willingness to train on forklift usage in the future + Previous machine operation experience in manufacturing + Experience with batch mixing, recipe reading, and packaging + Mechanically inclined **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on machines + Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) + Ability to read and write legibly + Math skills using decimals and fractions **Why Work Here?** We offer bi-weekly pay, benefits through United Healthcare after 30 days, a 401k match up to 6%, paid and cleaned uniforms, and vacation, sick, and personal time after 90 days. The facility is food-grade and GMP required. The environment can be hot in some areas, although the mixing area is air-conditioned. Shifts are varied, including 2nd shift operator, night inclusions relief, short-term mixer day, and various packer/mixer shifts on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The workweek is Monday to Wednesday with potential OT on Thursday. Steel-toed boots are required, and no jewelry or loose items can be worn for safety reasons. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Defiance, Ohio **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.75 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
