Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The General Production Worker will follow work instructions to operate all machines and testing equipment to build and assemble quality pumps for the customer. This role involves learning how to gauge products, moving material and parts within the cell work area, replenishing stock, maintaining production, quality, and equipment documentation, understanding quality alerts, and reporting issues to the team lead. The worker will also repair defective/rejected production parts daily and analyze defects to help with corrective action programs.

2nd Shift: 3pm- 11pm

OT: 3pm-1am

ResponsibilitiesOperate all machines and testing equipment to build and assemble quality pumps.Learn how to gauge products as required.Move material and parts within the cell work area and replenish stock.Maintain production, quality, and equipment documentation.Understand quality alerts and report issues to the team lead.Repair defective/rejected production parts daily.Analyze defects and assist with corrective action programs.Essential SkillsManufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a production worker, operator, or assembler position.Good tenure at each previous position.Assembly experience in manufacturing.Ability to lift 40 lbs and physically handle pumps for stacking and shipping.Additional Skills & QualificationsGauge experience is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is based in a newly renovated plant in Warren, MI, working with major automotive companies including Ford, GM, Tesla, and FCA. The plant features new electrical systems, CNC machinist lines, conveyors, carousel assembly equipment, and robotic weld cells. The facility operates various machines including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding, and hand tools. Shifts are available in 8-hour and 10-hour schedules, with the expectation of working 7 days a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
