Job Description
The Plant Operations Assistant, under the direction of the Production Supervisor, is responsible for operating manufacturing and packaging equipment. This includes equipment set-up, quality control of products, and meeting production schedules.
ResponsibilitiesOperate conveyor, shrink-wrap, and bagging equipment.Hang and seal bags of product.Fill and seal shaker bottles of product.Bag product with the correct blend to the required weight level.Place product on pallets according to specifications.Assist with maintaining equipment, including cleaning production equipment and lines.Maintain a clean and safe work area.Perform other related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Basic math skills.Demonstrated ability to operate various types of machinery and equipment.Mechanical and technical skills with exceptional problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.Experience in other industries such as restaurant or construction is acceptable.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, humid conditions, and dust. The role requires standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and walking for long periods. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29120.00 - $33280.00/yr.
