Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror – we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more. The working hours will be unique, typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as key operational leader of Universal Horror Unleashed’s entertainment division including both performance and operational staff. Responsible for enforcing standards regarding show quality, Guest satisfaction (GSAT), Team Member satisfaction (TSAT), safety, labor optimization and special events for Entertainment Operations. Supports daily operation, partnering with other members of management and external partners when necessary. Responsible to assist in the direction of the Entertainment Operational staff, including periods of rehearsals, ensuring that all houses and experiences operate at their optimum performance levels.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for ensuring the successful operation of all entertainment offerings at Universal Horror Unleashed. Oversees all houses, stages, and avenues in the Venue, ensuring daily safety and show quality. Responsible for effectively communicating necessary information that pertains to the entertainment operation to necessary parties. Partners with counterparts to ensure the safety of all performers and support injury prevention efforts of repetitive movement. Partners heavily with Technical counterparts to ensure overall technical and performance operation.
+ Manages the Auditions and Casting efforts for both Team Members and contracted performers, attending each audition and ensures a timely process. Provides support for contracting processes including procedures, staffing, training locations, vendor set up, communication, operational flow, and safety compliance. Provides oversight of rehearsal periods and ensuring alignment with all Universal standards and procedures.
+ Manages efforts for improvements in TSAT, GSAT, and safety standards while monitoring existing processes to ensure quality. Partners with Senior Leadership to develop action plans for improvements to achieve or exceed targets.
+ Provides leadership, coaching and plans of development for reporting Team Members. Cultivates a culture that is supportive and respectful, supporting a positive work environment. Partners with leadership and Human Resources to address concerns in a timely manner. Partners with counterparts to ensure the safety of all performers and support injury prevention efforts of repetitive movement.
+ Manages daily/weekly labor and looks for ways to improve overall operational efficiency. Monitors and adjusts labor hours and budgets according to attendance levels, operating needs, and other variables, mitigating overtime use with creative staffing and approved contingency use. These efforts could include but are not limited to: Special events, Show calling, performer break schedules, rotation schedules, and rehearsal periods.
+ Supports the development and implementation of UHU’s strategic plan for the operation, maintenance, enhancement and improvement of all entertainment offerings including facilities, technical elements/aspects and talent. Partners with the Assistant Director, Entertainment to ensure operational execution of Special Events, Holiday Overlays, etc. are as designed.
+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Stage Management, Entertainment or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
+ 5+ years’ experience within the professional entertainment, 3+ years’ previous supervisory/managerial experience preferred.; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
