General Superintendent, Field Operations, Service Delivery Job ID: 10840 Business Unit: New York City Transit Location: Various, United States Regular/Temporary: Regular Department: RTO FIELD OPERATIONS Date Posted: Mar 7, 2025 Description Job Information: Title: General Superintendent First Date of Posting: 3/4/2025 Last Date of Filing:3/18/25 Authority: TA Department: Subways Division Unit: Office of the SVP Reports To: Deputy Chief, Weekend Service Diversions and Coordination Location: Various Hours of work: Managerial Compensation: Min: $122,958 – Max: $174,059/ Grade A Responsibilities: This position will have overall responsibility for the customer experience on weekends and oversight of the entire General Order operation, including train service, flagging, and shuttle buses, coordinating with Service Delivery Field Operations, the Operations Control Center, and Department of Buses. The General Superintendent will also assist with customer touchpoints, including signage and announcements in stations and on trains and buses, customer support personnel including Station Agents, Platform Conductors, and Traffic Checkers, and the experience at transfer points between the subway and shuttle buses. Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED Required with ten (10) years of full-time mass transit experience, and five (5) years in a managerial/supervisory capacity, Or A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Skills: + Strong familiarity with DOS operations + DOB operations + OCC operations and maintenance practices + Understanding of the customer experience and communications channels + Project management experience working in a collaborative environment with other divisions Selection Method: Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview. All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
