Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 1st Theater Tactical Signal Brigade in Pyong Taek, South Korea. Responsibilities Serves as a General Supply Specialist in the Property Book Section of the 1st Signal Brigade S4, Camp Humphreys, Korea. Responsible for supply support and readiness of subordinate units in the Brigade. Serves as a System administrator for Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) databases for supply and equipment related requirements. Establishes local policies and procedures for property accountability. Uses automated systems (i.e. GCSS-A and AESIP) for research, analysis, reports, and briefings. Ensures guidance and assistance are provided to primary hand-receipt holders. Explains procedures and regulatory requirements pertaining to the establishment and maintenance of required records, the issue and turn-in of expendable/reportable property/equipment, and inventory requirements. Coordinates the work of property book management operations involving the requisitioning, receipts, storage, issue, turn-in, inventory, warehousing, and maintenance of property accounting records for all supplies and equipment. Responsible for coordinating responses to audit reports and investigations to assure corrective action is taken, as required. Serves as the 1st Signal Brigade S4 Army Recordkeeping Information System (ARIMS) record/files manager. Assists the Accountable Technician, Deputy Brigade S4 and Logistics Operations Officer with logistics training for civilians and military personnel. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by Basic Requirement for General Supply Specialist: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating the work of property book management operations; utilizing automated logistics systems such as Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A)and Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIP) for supply and equipment related requirements; assisting the property hand receipt holder (PHRH) with inventories, and adjusts property records as required to ensure accuracy; and providing supply guidance concerning regulatory, policy, or procedural changes. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or Logistics Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
