Our dedicated team of surgeons, nurses, and support staff offer a wide range of surgical services, from routine procedures to more complex surgeries, all right here in Cadillac. We use advanced minimally invasive techniques that result in smaller incisions, less pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recoveries. Performing over 4,500 procedures annually in four state-of-the-art surgical suites, our team ensures that patients receive the best care possible. POSITION HIGHLIGHTSClinic is supported by 4 physician and 2 APPPerforms all duties under the direction and supervision of surgeons and in accordance with established policies and proceduresWorks collaboratively with a team of surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high quality surgical careEngages in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment with a mix of clinic-based and hospital-based responsibilitiesParticipates in ongoing education and professional developmentMaintain confidentiality of patient informationESSENTIAL DUTIES Conducts initial intake of medical history and physical exam on patients of any age group to provide health assessment and screen for abnormal conditionsEnsures documentation is completed timely and sent to appropriate parties including referring physicianOrdering and interpreting diagnostic testsProvide assistance during procedures as neededEvaluate and manage postoperative complicationsPerforms minor procedures (I&D, Lesion removal, Punch Biopsy, etc.)Performs daily rounding in the for hospital for inpatients and consultsRemove staples, sutures, or drains during follow-up appointmentsConducts pre- and post-operative teaching and instruction as necessarySTANDARD QUALIFICATIONS Education / Training: Master’s degree in nursing OR a master’s in physician assistant studies Work Experience: New grads welcome Certification, Licensure, Registration: State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required. BCLS Certified OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Candidate must apply for and be granted applicable clinical privileges through MHC’s credentialing processes before rendering services Good judgment and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to make quality, independent medical decisions. Time management and organizational skills.
