The New Madrid Power Plant is accepting applications for our General Utility 1st Period applicant pool. Under the direct supervision of Management and/or Control Room Operator, the General Utility 1st Period will perform a variety of tasks, such as filling the coal bunkers, lubricating conveyors, maintaining the dust collection system, and housekeeping in the bunker room. They make periodic inspections of equipment to ensure proper operation and lubrication, which requires them to enter confined spaces and work from high elevations. The candidate will be required to work a 12 hour rotating shift, including holidays and weekends. Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and have a minimum of one year of mechanical or electrical background.
