Expected salary range of **$102,600 to $114,000** , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**
The Generation Compliance Specialist will ensure CEG adhere to all applicable generation compliance requirements. Interface with groups through the organization including Power and Nuclear to prepare reviews and reports of generation compliance as requested. Ensure that CEG activities are performed in compliance with applicable procedures, standards and requirements. Identify and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing various assessments. Participate and support CEG’s compliance program. Must develop a strong technical understanding of the generation compliance rules themselves as well as the forums where they are discussed. Evaluate and determine compliance for CEG activities. Recommend corrective actions to address inadequacies discovered during assessments, including cross-functional and cross-team alignment of processes and procedures to ensure future compliance. Will typically involve acting in a consulting or advisory capacity and gather commitments of other management personnel in the organization. Ensure timely execution of any necessary notification or compliance submission is imperative along with facilitating communication on important relevant activities to all impacted teams. Acts as a liaison to external regulatory entities for compliance issues, tracks ISO, NERC and Reliability Entity activates and consults/advises key CEG personnel in order to develop strategic direction for compliance to ISO, NERC and Reliability Region standards.
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
+ Evaluate, determine, and report CEG compliance through applicable procedures, standards and requirements. Recommend enhancements to current practices and procedures to drive continuous improvement and any other external entity as required.
+ Support evaluation, tracking and reporting of CEG compliance withISO, NERC and Regional Entity Standards.
+ Support performing self-assessments of CEG compliance to procedures, policies and actions taken as result of internal investigations.
+ Create mitigation plans based on Self Reports and/or Self Logs and monitor the status of mitigating steps through Action Tracking and Quarterly status as requested on each Mitigation Plan with Regional Entities and other regulatory entities.
+ Track time driven assessments/submittals of CEG plants compliance with all applicable generation compliance requirements.
+ Ensure necessary work activities for Generation Compliance are initiated in the applicable system, executed using procedures and tracked in systems with documented completion evidence.
+ Provide analysis and support to leadership for the Generation Compliance programs (i.e. NERC Compliance Program/Wholesale Generation Compliance Program) including ongoingreporting of performance improvements, organizational initiatives and compliance related communications
+ Lead/participate in compliance audits. Plan, prepare and execute audit tasks and support auditteams.
+ Represent CEG on ISO, NERC and regional entity committees or other industry forums to facilitate benchmarking and continuous improvement.
+ Take a proactive role to evaluate tools used for Generation Compliance across the organization to suggest more streamline approaches to enhance compliance efficiency.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field and 5-8 years’ experience working in any combination of electric utility transmission, operations, regulatory, legal or financial disciplines. OR in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 9-12 years of relevant business experience.
+ Some knowledge on NERC, FERC and Reliability Entity related activities.
+ Some knowledge with one or more control areas/RTOs/ISOs CEG operates in the context of the wholesale business.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
+ Ability to analyze, interpret, and determine compliance requirements associated with ISO, NERC and Regional Standards
+ Extremely detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to think independently and creatively
+ Ability to multi-task in order to meet tight deadlines.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
+ Knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and engineering principles
+ Knowledge of IT tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Sharepoint and CoPilot
+ Generation/Transmission Dispatch experience
