Opportunity Snapshot:

Compensation: $25-30.00/hourLocation: Midland, TX
Assignment Duration:  6 month contract, opportunity to be extended
Work Schedule: M-F / 50 hoursBenefits: Comprehensive insurance and 401(k) Responsibilities Ensure that primary power is served to Client’s customers with 98%+ reliabilityMust be able to systematically troubleshoot and repair generators ranging in size 1,000 to 2,500 kilowatts and ensure the accessory equipment used with the generators are functional and repairedCapable of performing inspections, repairs, services, and start-up load-bank test requirements on equipmentTroubleshooting equipment and servicing generator components including alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices, shutdown switches, and battery systemsApply proper engine technical skills in inspection, disassembly, failure analysis, assembly, diagnosis, and engine operating performance testsEnvironmental awareness and ensuring the locations are clean of any new / used oil or coolant, as well as ensuring the generator enclosures are clean oil, coolant or any other debrisKeep sound records of each generator on the locations you are assigned and ensure to communicate any found issues to the Field Operations Manager. (e.g., maintenance records, oil leaks, coolant leaks, abnormal vibrations / sounds, etc…)Maintain sounds records of spare parts and initiate reordering if parts are usedPerforming all tasks in a safe, professional manner, maintaining a team player attitudeParticipate in operational round tables to discuss current operations and contribute ideas to ensure Client is continually improving its day-to-day operations and overall functionality of its locations to better serve its customersDrive safely and according to all LawsRespond to call outs / work overtime as needed Qualifications 5+ years’ experience maintaining and troubleshooting large horsepower (1,000+) natural gas generators5+ Years direct experience troubleshooting and maintaining large HP natural gas engines. (e.g., Cummins, Cat, etc....)5+ Years direct experience with CAT’s SIS technical documentation and manual program; direct experience with CAT’s ET software for engine diagnosing, troubleshooting, and tuning, preferred5+ Years experience with tuning natural gas engines with a combustion efficiency & environmental analyzer. (e.g., Bacharach ECA 450 Analyzer, Bacharach 0024-3035 High Temp Probe, Bacharach 2414-131- PCA 400 Analyzer, preferred5+ Years with direct oil & gas, field-operations experience. (e.g., oil field facilities, natural gas facilities, generation stations, etc....); as well as direct experience with process gas flow. (e.g., familiarity of pressure, flow, common control valves, ball valves, back-pressure valves, check valves, PSVs, regulators, instrumentation etc....)Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one lines, and wiring diagramsSelf-motivated and hard working. Able to be given tasks and perform them with little to no supervisionKnowing one’s skill sets and skill level to work safely with having no hesitation to stop the job and or oneself to call for assistance and or support Maintaining a team player and flexible attitudeAbility to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams. (P&ID’s)
