Job Summary

The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for implementing Public cloud services based on AWS and Azure technologies, and other major Cloud technologies. Assignments includes consulting, implementing, documenting, and migrating applications to the public cloud. The Senior Cloud Engineer will also be required to lead other Cloud delivery engineers. 

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities/Activities

Implements public cloud services based on AWS, Azure and other major cloud TechnologiesWorks with customers and Cloud Solutions architects in planning and designing highly successful Cloud environmentsWorks with customers to align technology to their business opportunities and needs in context of their Cloud strategyAssists in delivering consulting engagements, working with distributed sales teams along with deployment team membersDemonstrates command of Cloud technologies and other ecosystem solutionsMasters a deep technical knowledge and possesses the communication skills and organizational agility to guide customers through Cloud migration projects, and must also be able to perform the hands-on technical solution design work independentlyUtilizes knowledge of architectural design and documentationStays current with Cloud technologiesDemonstrates customer facing and presentation skillsDocuments business, information, application and technology aspects of approachLeads complex large projectsSupports customer escalations as neededPartners with end customers to ensure a successful project implementationProvides technical training to the customers as neededMentors and develops junior engineering staff members Qualifications

Required Qualifications

BS/BAs degree in IT or related field (Industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)5-10 years of documented corporate Cloud experienceDeep knowledge of Cloud ArchitecturesCandidate must also have excellent communication, interpersonal, troubleshooting and customer service skillsAdditionally the candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects at onceSolid Experience in AWS/Azure cloud technologiesExperience in applications modernizations (DevOps, containers, MicroServices) is a plusStrong presentation, oral and written communication skills are essential
