Genetic Lab Analyst
Position Major Tasks:
• Execute samples applicable Genetic analysis according to defined procedures and legislations to guarantee accurate results and deliverables according with defined turn around time
• Ensure operation of HPLC process to obtain treatment concentration analysis according to defined procedures and legislations to guarantee accurate results and deliverables according with defined turn around time.
• Communication with stakeholders in relation to Genetic testing.
• Upload results in the appropriate software, to guarantee traceability and ensure accountability for data defensibility
• Verify and maintain lab equipment and manage repairs and calibration with vendors, facilities, maintenance, according toprocedures and legal requirements
• Create purchase orders and acquisition request of lab consumables following company policy; follow up end to end process (invoice receipt) to guarantee supplies availability
• Perform trainings for new FTE and unionized workers to ensure qualification, supervise a team of six operators giving support to genetic lab operation.
• Keep ISO documents updated (Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms) and formalize nonconformities and potential deviations • Perform validations for new methods or equipment, implementation and upgrade ensuring the Quality Management of change guideline.
• Participate in internal and external audits • Critically interpret analysis results and collaborate with quality investigations, including costumer’s claims
• Active participation in Regional and Global Quality Testing Communities as applicable
• Ensure functionality locally of global quality testing softwares TRM, LIMS Labware, Kraken, etc
• Sample and Documentation requests, shipment and results follow up to obtain results with external labs for PACA region and when applicable special studies for Mexico seed in NA GQA Lab
• Participate in OnePSS implementation, lead and mentorproject within the team and the Quality testing lab to improve efficiencies and generate savings.
• Perform all tasks following the standards of Safety, Quality, Health, Environment, Biosafety, Stewardship and Product Supply System defined by the Company and Legal Entities
Position Skills
• Technical or BS Degree in Agronomy, Biology, Biotechnology or other related areas
• Operational Experience in seed analysis +3 years
• Knowledge on seeds analysis and International testing rules
• Intermediate knowledge on windows tools: Power Point, Word, Excel
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge on SAP data repository
• Basic statistical skills

• Fluent English level
