Genetics Program Coordinator
Overview Under the direction of our Cancer Genetic Counselor, the Coordinator Genetics Program will work in the cancer genetics clinical setting supporting genetic counselor, physician, and patient needs as necessary. Responsibilities of the role include clinical and administrative duties. The role will work closely with the Genetic Counselor and provide support as needed. Qualifications Required Education: GED or High School Diploma Preferred Education: Bachelor�s degree in biology, genetics, or related field preferred. Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Preferred Licensure/Certifications: N/A Required Experience: 1-2 years clinical/healthcare environment experience or related education Preferred Experience: 1 year administrative experience and/or patient care experience preferred. Necessary Skills: 1. Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 2. Computer proficiency � MS Office products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.) or ability to learn new software quickly. 3. Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team in a busy clinical practice. 4. Must be comfortable transporting sealed biological specimens.
