We are looking for an inquisitive geologist who wants to apply their enthusiasm and skills to understanding the state’s geology, and who aspires to make a positive impact by studying Wyoming’s natural resources. As a Geologist I (ENGE 08) with the Wyoming State Geological Survey, you’ll dive into interesting geological investigations and special projects, and your work will directly contribute to the stewardship of Wyoming's vast geological treasures. Under supervision, you are responsible for conducting work activities of routine geological investigations and special projects as assigned; as well as responsibility for compiling complete and accurate data as it pertains to general geological field investigations and projects. In addition, you will study a variety of geologic issues related to energy and mineral resources, including resource identification and quantification. As Wyoming is a state with significant energy and mineral resources, you will contribute directly to the state and the agency mission.
