The Position:

Summit Search Group has been retained by 1911 Gold Corporation on the recruitment of their next Geologist. 1911 Gold Corporation is a junior gold producer located in the heart of the world-class Rice Lake gold district within the West Uchi greenstone belt. The Company holds a dominant land position with over 53,000 Hectares, an operating milling facility, an underground mine with one million ounces in resources, and significant upside surface exploration potential.

Under the guidance of a strong technical management team with exceptional local knowledge, the Company is actively exploring in areas of the Rice Lake belt that have historically seen little to no activity. The successful exploration results to date have provided further conviction that the discoveries in the region have only just begun.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the management of the exploration MX Deposit Database. Consolidate the mine and exploration data set within a merged database. Manage all aspects of MX Deposit applications including upgrades. Design and implement standard operation procedures for the capture, validation, and reporting of analytical results from new and ongoing exploration programs; including drill hole data, geochemical sampling data, metallurgical data, geotechnical data and other related data. Design and implement Quality Control/Quality Assurance Procedures for exploration data. Perform other duties as required in support of Company Objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor in Geology: Minimum five years of managing project databases. Strong data analysis and interpretation skills. Proficiency with MX Deposit, Leapfrog and QGIS software as well as MS Access, Excel and Word. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong working familiarity with data security. Ability to work under pressure with a high level of commitment to meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.

This is a remote position with preference for candidates to be based in Winnipeg. All Candidates must be willing to travel throughout Manitoba on a frequent basis.
