Minimum Requirements:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate geomatics engineering, earth sciences, geography or technical GIS program at an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent

You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

Responsibilities:

Support mapping procedures and spatial analysis

Assist in reviewing newly acquired data from various sources (satellite, air photo, drone, LIDAR) for correctness and geodetic integrity

Support and use of geospatial software such as ArcGIS, FME, Geographic Calculator, Global Mapper

Assist in data loading, management and translation

Prepare and present reports, and presentations as required

Create new and maintain existing Python scripts used in GIS solutions

Location and other Key Details:

This is a 4, 8 or 12-month work term starting in May 2025

You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
