Dewberry is currently seeking a Geospatial Analyst II located near our Long Beach, CA office or Rancho Cordova, CA office. Remote positions will be considered dependent on experience, but the applicant must reside in California. Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Working on federal, state, and local projects in a multitude of domains (transportation, emergency management, public health, utilities, environment, etc.), most of which will have a geospatial data componentWorking directly with Project Managers to assist with the execution of projects, on time and within budget.Independently managing tasks within projects when appropriate.Creating Scripts/Models to automate repetitive tasks, for both internal processes and project executionBuilding GIS applications and managing data in the web environmentCollaborating professionally with colleagues and clients to meet objectives and resolve technical challengesAssisting with some business development in California and surrounding states. (Conference and webinar presentations, networking, etc.)Providing feedback and support for developing and/or updating SOPs and project reports as necessary.Prioritizing data quality and integrity in all tasksTraveling on-site, mostly for projects in California and surrounding states (10%) Required Skills & Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in data science, GIS, or related field.3+ years of experience in the Data Analysis or GIS field or equivalent combination with a focus on spatial data and application developmentIn-depth experience with ESRI’s desktop products including ArcMap 10x and ArcGIS ProIn-depth experience with ESRI’s web-based products including those contained in the AGOL and Enterprise Portal environmentsScripting and automation experience (Python or equivalent)Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight schedules as requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with client-facing projects

 

Beneficial Skills & Experience

Experience with Extract, transform, and load (ETL) tools (especially FME)Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and database administrationExperience with Branch Versioning in the ESRI environmentExperience with MS Power Suite (Power Automate, Power BI, etc.)Experience with open-source solutions including QGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, etc.GISP Certification, ASPRS certifications in Lidar or other Remote Sensing technologies a plus

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $65,100-$83,800 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
