HX5 is currently seeking a Geospatial Scientist to join the team at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Space Station (ISS) and Artemis missionsProvide science services and technology products to a range of human exploration organizations including Gateway,
Orion, the lander/ascent systems, spacesuits, EVA, and ISSInteract with scientists, engineers, and managers in a highly dynamic and occasionally time critical environmentDevelop funding proposals for submission to relevant scientific and technology grant solicitations opportunitiesPerform other duties as required

Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5%of time).Equipment and MachinesStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and offers a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
