Will work with clients and stakeholders to define geospatial strategy and vision, and design and develop innovative solutions using advanced geospatial technologies and will also provide technical expertise and direction for junior geospatial developers and analysts.
What You’ll Do:
Oversees and lead geospatial projects and solutions for complex business problems using GIS software and tools.Defines geospatial strategy and vision for clients and stakeholders.Designs and develops innovative solutions using advanced geospatial technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, etc.Provides technical expertise and direction for junior geospatial developers and analysts.Reviews and optimizes geospatial data and applications for quality, performance, and security.Provides support and troubleshooting for software and hardware systems that are used by other departments within an organization.Identifies new opportunities and challenges for GIS technology within an organization or industry sector.Works with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and deliverables.Performs other duties as assigned.What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 6 years of related experience, orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 5 years of related experience, orIn lieu of education, 10 years of relevant experience.What You'll Bring:
Knowledge of advanced geospatial concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, coordinate systems, etc.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, R etc.Experience with web development frameworks such as Django, Flask, React, etc.Experience with mobile development platforms such as Android or iOSExperience with big data, cloud computing, or machine learning technologiesAbility to oversee and lead geospatial projects and teamsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and qualityExperience with geospatial data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BIExperience with geospatial data management tools such as ArcSDE or PostGISWhat We Prefer:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or Computer ProgrammingAdditional Information

The approximate pay range for New York is $91,366.10 - $178,632.44. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. The approximate pay range for Los Angeles Metro Area and Orange County, CA is $105,071.01 - $164,341.84.
