Join Foth as a Geospatial Survey Technician, based in Austin, TX, and support national projects while contributing to our expansion into a new market. This role focuses on DOT and transportation-related clients, offering a unique opportunity to thrive in an environment that emphasizes inclusivity, continuous learning, and flexibility. You’ll work remotely and travel about 20% of the time to client and team sites. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Foth Geospatial team!Primary Responsibilities: Conducting impactful technical civil engineering activities for transportation projectsUtilizing digital level to set high accuracy elevations on project control and benchmarksOperating traditional land surveying tools (GPS/Total Stations) to complete topographic mapping surveysCalculating horizontal and vertical positions from engineering plans for contractors to utilize during construction Modeling 3D remote sensing dataProviding field support for 3D scanning and sUAS(Drone) operationsCompleting property research for Land Surveying activitiesDrafting existing site conditions utilizing multiple software programsRequired Qualifications: Associate Degree in Civil Technology or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in survey and CAD 1 year minimum of previous field experience Ability to travel up to 20% of the timePreferred Qualifications: Proficiency in MicrostationExperience using Trimble survey and scanning equipmentWhy Foth: Established Reputation: With over 86 years of experience, we are proud to be 100% member-owned.Dynamic Culture: Benefit from a flexible work environment, ample professional growth opportunities, and supportive colleagues, contributing to our impressive 93% employee retention rate.Challenging Projects: Engage in diverse and exciting projects that promote continuous professional growth and development.
