Join us. **Job Description** **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a highly talented Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineer to join the East Region Dams Team. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region. The successful candidate will join the **ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm** and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the East Region including but not limited to Atlanta, Georgia; Buffalo, New York; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Germantown, Maryland; or Franklin Tennessee. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Assist and perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management. + Provide technical support for projects including seepage and slope stability analyses, filter and drain design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, Semi-Quantitative Risk Assessments, site inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures. + Prepare and perform quality reviews of other Engineer's work on deliverables such design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications. + Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of Dam Safety Engineering projects. + Responsible for quality control. + Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff. + Develop engineering proposals. + Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education. + Solid experience with dams and other hydraulic structures, including rehabilitation and/or new design and construction. + Experience in relevant geotechnical engineering software programs such as GeoStudio and gINT. + Ability and desire to occasionally travel to project sites, both local and remote. + Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review. + Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Licensed as a Professional Engineer in at least one state with the ability to successfully apply for reciprocity in additional states. + Master's degree in Civil Engineering. + Project experience with the US Army Corps of Engineers. **Additional Information** + Relocation is not available for this role. + Sponsorship is not available for this role. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
