Summary UES has an opening for a Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager in our Knoxville, TN Office. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope. As a Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager, you will provide project management and oversight of assigned geotechnical projects. These projects will include work from both the private and public sectors along with residential and commercial developments.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDefine scopes for geotechnical investigationsPrepare proposals and travel to evaluation sitesPerform evaluation of subsurface conditions as they relate to the planned construction. The evaluation may include settlement calculations, bearing capacity calculations, determination of foundation options, etc Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of geotechnical reports and boring logs Provide continual development and maintenance of both internal and external relationships (clients, vendors, consultants).Assist with the development of proposals and presentations for prospective projects. Coordinate preparation of invoiceAttend meetings as necessary to develop scope, discuss findings, discussing foundation options, etc.Coordinate with the CMT department during the construction phase to facilitate the implementation of recommendations in the prepared report
