Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Geotechnical Engineer Specialist. The position will support specifiers, including civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, and sitework contractors, with technical design engineering needs, providing intricate product knowledge and guidance to customers and internal teams, with a focus on Ferguson's innovative erosion and geo-synthetic products.

This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States and will support customers across our national footprint.

ResponsibilitiesEngage various client types – geotechnical, civil consulting engineers and sitework contractors – to provide project specific support.Learn and utilize design methodology for various solutions via public and proprietary software packages.Active participation in relevant trade associations.Technical presentations for various company solutions applicable to civil engineering/geotechnical applications both in person and virtual.Provide training and development for team members of various geosynthetic solutions.Support the national growth initiatives of the Geosynthetics and Stormwater team via the sharing of best practices.Support the sales associates and regional engineered solutions specialists on challenging geotechnical project scenarios.Attend coordination meetings and relevant trade conferences, as requiredProvide technical support to geotechnical and civil engineers for multiple projects across the US.Assist the design community in modeling various geo-synthetic solutions inclusive of load support, roadway design and grade separation.Routine interaction with vendor partners for promotional outreach.Evaluate new products and solutions and develop implementation strategy to deliver content and appropriate applications to civil and geotechnical designers.Actively grow existing and develop new connections within the design community

Qualifications5+ years of Geotechnical Design experience, required, namely pavement, load support, foundation design and grade separation requiredB.S. Civil Engineering degree and Professional Engineering license, requiredPrior technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and design submittals, requiredExperience with innovative products in the Geo-synthetics and Erosion control space, preferredStrong computer proficiency including use of Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems, requiredBasic reporting experience using Excel, including sorting, filtering, and data compilation, requiredDemonstrated relationship building, customer service, and interpersonal skills, requiredAbility to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requestsExcellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$4,799.70 - $10,450.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
