  We are currently seeking a Field Technician to join our Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and performance of geotechnical instrumentation systems at various construction sites.   What a day at EXP has in store for you Perform comprehensive field monitoring of ground, subsoil, structures, geo-structures, tunnels, and utility movements. Conduct groundwater level and porewater pressure measurements. Carry out field surveying activities to gather accurate data. Perform safety and hazard analyses, ensuring a secure working environment. Install and maintain instrumentation systems, utilizing power tools for repair, installation, and decommissioning. Supervise drilling activities as required. Monitor construction activities, providing real-time feedback and insights.

 

What your experience looks like

College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field. Ability to understand and resolve problems efficiently on construction sites. Proficiency in reading drawings and specifications. Diplomacy and tact in interactions with staff, clients, consultants, and contractors. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail. Capability to write clear and concise field reports, including recommendations. Possession of a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel to construction sites. Physical fitness for handling equipment and construction materials.
