We are looking for an Inbound Supply Chain Manager to work at our Maua Plant.
Job Purpose:
The Inbound Supply Chain manager is member of a multidisciplinary team that strategically manages AkzoNobel’s key suppliers. Main focus areas are driving suppliers to a zero defect mindset, perform process optimization and develop the supply chain to a high maturity level. The objective is to ensure material availability to AkzoNobels factories and customers. Any break in material availability can have an unacceptable impact on our factories and our customers. The Inbound Supply Chain Manager must proactively identify and solve potential issues by working closely with our technical departments and customers, and actively managing an extensive supplier base Capacity management at critical suppliers and second tier suppliers where needed Drive continuous improvement and supplier improvement initiatives (cycle time reduction, cost of goods reduction, Eleimica, VMI, Consignment, Quality) at suppliers Strong cooperation in cross functional supplier teams with procurement, R&D and quality Lead the interface with Value stream planning teams, procurement and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Inbound Supply Chain Manager:
Secure SLA in agreements with suppliers (e.g. Vendor-OTIF, MOQ, responsiveness, Vendor consignment stock accuracy, Quality, Cost) Supplier performance management (V-OTIF) Validate capacity management and flexibility at suppliers and define mitigation actions Drive Supply planning – Procurement Gatekeeping meetings, from supply side, to align on plan deviations/risks. Acts as “Demand Manager” to suppliers. Provide Supplier RCCP input and supply risks to IBP and S&OE governance processes. Coordinates sourcing allocation decisions to optimize supply and secure availability across BU’s and Suppliers Leading crisis task force together with procurement in case of severe material shortages Coordination of Lifecycle management and changes linked to industrial footprint projects Drive interventions at suppliers in case of (expected) supply disruptions Contribute in Supplier Audits for supply chain and supplier quality specific initiatives. Ensure the right collaboration with planning teams, procurement, suppliers and manufacturing.
Key Performance Indicators:
Vendor OTIF Cost of poor quality Vendor Load/Capacity– ensure loading and flexibility at suppliers Secondary: cycle time reduction, cost of goods reduction
Education:
Gained a MSc degree, with a supply chain or engineering major, ideally APICS certified (CPIM & CSCP)
Experience:
Experienced in supplier management, supply planning, procurement & operational excellence Experience in leading quality improvement projects across the supply chain Experience in FMCG, Paint/Coating or Retail industries Supply Chain Improvement or consulting High level of experience on Supply Planning, IBP processes, Planning tools, Supply planning, planning in SAP ECC and BI
